Jane M Howard

We are extremely sad to announce that on March 30, 2024, at the age of 81, Jane M. Howard of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family.  She fought a courageous battle against Stroke, Parkinson's and Progressive Dementia.  She was a feisty woman.  She was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Jane is a graduate of Lincoln College Preparatory School (1966).

Jane worked as a cashier for Gimbels Department Store, Clover, Kohls and the Dollar Store.  She later in life worked at Sonshine Daycare in Drexel Hill taking care of the toddlers.  

Jane was very close to her sister Harriet "Sporty" Young who passed on March 13, 2024 and was buried on Jane's birthday March 20, 2024.  Jane would love to play cards, play checkers, connect four, drink hot tea, eat her sweets and enjoyed being with her family.  She was an avid Phillies fan and also enjoyed watching wrestling.  The Rock and John Cena were her favorites.

She was predeceased by: her parents Harry and Elsie Donaghy (Pine), her brother Frank Donaghy and sisters Harriet "Sporty" Young and Margaret Donaghy.  She is survived by: her husband Michael J Howard. her brother Michael Donaghy, her children Joe "Ace" Howard (Candy), .Chris Howard (Jennifer), Nonnie Howard (Barry), Kathy Howard (Steve Carlson) and Steve Howard.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.    

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 9:30am to 11am in Bethany Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 5 Concord Ave., Havertown, PA 19083. Funeral Services will begin in the church on Friday at 11am followed by a reception. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
