It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Henry (aka Hank/Butch) George Schumacher Jr. on March 17th, 2024 at the age of 76. He passed away peacefully after goodbyes from his immediate family, following his lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born on August 22nd, 1947 Hank lived a life of fulfillment and love, marrying his high school sweetheart from Marple Newtown High School, Donna Marie Massimo on January 11th, 1969. Following high school, he was was drafted and elected to serve in the US Air Force as a flying crew chief/airplane mechanic. He eventually exited as a decorated member reaching the level of staff sergeant, earning multiple awards, and an honorable discharge on January 15th, 1974. He was devoted to service for his country, dedicated to providing for his family, and was passionate about his mechanical abilities. His ambition and vision lead to the beginning of Schumacher and Francy Auto Repair in 1982. He dedicated over 30 years to his business, and possessed an unwavering determination and resilience for his craft. His soft spoken demeanor and yet convincingly special personality made him unique. Nothing made him happier than taking friends and family out to dinners and watching eagles game with his boys.
